The scope of the project involves the rehabilitation of the asphalt pavement surface of Runway 5-23 at the Mercer County Airport. The rehabilitation will consist of repairing surface cracks through the placement of a hot-poured asphalt joint and crack sealant, performing pavement milling to achieve minor surface grade correction and overlaying the runway surface with a minimum of 2” of hot mix asphalt surface course pavement. The project will also include asphalt pavement grooving, pavement marking and all other appurtenances required for a complete project as detailed by the plans and specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group.
