C Street was once a roadway that connected Main Street to Sixth Avenue. However, in the 1980s, Main Street was transformed into a pedestrian mall, leading to C Street's closure to vehicular traffic. Since then, it had been used as an infrequently visited lawn area. As part of the fifth phase of the St. Albans Streetscape Project, a decision was made to turn this green space into a small plaza. The goal was to create a more unique and engaging space than a typical streetscape project. The plaza now serves as a gathering spot for people to enjoy lunch or ice cream during the day. It can also function as a stage for performances during special events or spontaneous jam sessions. The area features information panels highlighting the history of St. Albans, and the moveable tables and chairs provide flexibility in seating arrangements.
