OTTER CREEK OUTDOOR RECREATION AREA, Meade County, KYGRW was selected to perform a boundary survey of Otter Creek Park, now known as the Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area, in Meade County, KY. The 2,600-acre park borders Otter Creek and the Ohio River with spectacular views.
The park includes hiking trails and recreational activities, and is home to the YMCA’s Camp Piomingo, which has been in operation since 1938.
The newly remodeled Outdoor Recreation Area opened in 2011, and is quickly becoming a popular destination after being closed for several years. Formerly a division of the Louisville Metro Parks, the Outdoor Recreation Area is now operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. New services are being added, and additional activities and renovations are planned for the future.
Survey services including boundaries, titles, deeds and site assessments were required as part of the renovation and transfer.
