WV American Water Storage Tanks, Saint Albans, WV
Chapman Technical Group was contracted by West Virginia American Water Company provide design and construction phase services, including full-time construction observation, for construction of two 4. 0 Million Gallon water storage tanks just west of St. Albans, West Virginia. The project consisted of two post-tensioned pre-cast concrete water storage tanks as well as a new 24” water main for connection to the system. The project also included an access road to the tanks, as well as an extensive stormwater management system for both pre- and post-construction runoff. The project was completed in May of 2018 in order to increase storage in the western portion of their distribution system, south of the Kanawha River.
