Corning Warehouse, Harrodsburg, KYGRW provided design services to Corning Inc. for an expansion of the existing warehouse area at their facility in Harrodsburg, KY (HAKY). The scope of services included developing an initial feasibility study to investigate several possible expansion options, preparing an initial estimate of probable cost, and preparing bridging documents used by Corning to solicit design/build construction proposals.
The warehouse expansion encompassed approximately 4,500 SF, and was uniquely configured to take advantage of an awkward site area. Several site utilities and an existing bag house were designed for relocation as part of the site development work.
